Winter Knitting Classes
Our Winter knitting classes are live on our website! We have a great selection of classes from the beginner knitter to the more advanced.
Our knitting class for the Wildwood Sweater is starting tomorrow January 18th and will meet on Tuesday's at 1:00 PM for five weeks.
While this sweater looks very difficult, it is actually much easier than you think as the "floats" are very short (that's a good thing). Joyce will guide you through your sweater at your pace. This is an intermediate skill level class. You will learn how to read a chart and how to do colorwork. You must have completed the Beginner Knitting Class. You should be comfortable with using circular knitting needles. Joyce is our Instructor for the class
We have a Beginner Knitting class that starts on January 25th and meets on Tuesday's and Thursday's at 6 PM for three week's.
Want to learn to knit? Know how to do the knit stitch but don't know how to purl? The class will teach you: knit, purl, basketweave, seed stitch, yarn overs, and a basic cable. You will learn to cast on/off, what "stitch to gauge" means and how to read a written pattern, as well as a chart. By the end of the class, you will learn basic finishing. If the class is sold out, please use the waitlist. We will contact you if an opening arises. This is a beginner skill level class. You will learn to cast on/off, basic knitting stitches and how to read a pattern. Materials are included with added supplies available for purchase. There are no skills needed or this can be a refresher class. Susan is our instructor for this class.
 
Our Beginner Sweater Knitting Class starts on February 22nd. This class meets on Tuesday's at 11:30 AM for five week's.
This is a great class if you have never knit a sweater or if it's been a while. These sweaters are knit from the top down and there is no seaming. We are doing this class as a lunchtime event. Bring your sack lunch and come knit your sweater with us! You can pick either the Knitting Pure & Simple 9724 Neck Down Pullover for Women (worsted weight yarn) or the Knitting Pure & Simple 993 Neck Down Vneck Tshirt for Women (dk weight yarn). Patterns available on Ravelry or in the store. This is a beginner skill level class. You must have completed the Beginner Knitting Class. Joyce is our instructor for this class.
We will also have some new longer hours to help those knitters that are back to working full time and can't get into the store now. Starting February 1st we will be OPEN on Tuesday evenings until 7:30 PM.
