While it has been sweltering hot the last few weeks across the country, it is not technically “summer” yet. The first “real” day of summer is June 20th this year, the official Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, which means it is the longest day of the year.
While the Mayans and the Aztecs used this longest day to celebrate summer and how to plant or harvest crops, we as knitters and crocheters are more interested in the “Sale” part of the Summer Solstice.
