Boyne Mountain Fall Knitting Retreat

Join us for a relaxing and fun knitting retreat weekend in beautiful Boyne Mountain.
Check in begins at 4:30 Saturday September 21st, 2019 at the lovely Presidential Suite, which looks like a European Ski Chalet.
Our retreat begins with dinner, introductions and a fun game developed by Cori Eichelberger, who will be with us for the entire weekend! Cori is a super fun knitting instructor/designer/podcaster/speaker. On Sunday, Cori will share her "50 Shades of Sweaters" workshop. She actually brings 50 sweaters with her. Previous attendees of this class have raved about it. We are so excited to have this opportunity on our retreat!
Though we have both activities and chill time planned, there are many additional things to do in the area if you wish. Nearby is Stonehedge Fiber Mill, Wool & Honey Yarn Shop, Boyne City, Tunnel of Trees, Historic Legs Inn, and much more.

 Beginner Knitting (Click Blue Link to Register)
Want to learn to knit? Know how to do the knit stitch but don't know how to purl? The class will teach you: knit, purl, basketweave, seed stitch, yarn over's, and a basic cable. You will learn to cast on/off, what "stitch to gauge" means and how to read a written pattern as well as a chart. By the end of the class, you will learn basic finishing.

This top-down triangle-shaped shawl is a great project for learning Mosaic Knitting.
By choosing from 4 tones (light, mid, dark, and pop), you can easily create your own boho-chic style! Mosaic knitting is easier as only one color is worked over 2 rows. You will also learn icord edging.

Now that you have learned brioche in your cowl, this brioche hat is much easier to knit than it looks! It’s all about the brioche star stitch and there are so many ways to create different cable motifs without a cable needle! This is a 4 pattern row repeat.
