A Piece of Ewe Fall Retreat 2024 is just around the corner!

Friday, September 6

• Arrive at the Graz conference room in Boyne Mountain Lodge (where we were last year) any time after 9am. Condos will be available for check-in after 4:30pm
• We will be serving dinner on Friday at about 6:00 pm.
• After dinner, Deirdre from Keenan Hand Dyed Yarn will give an overview of the Doodle Cowl design. She will have samples for you to check out to think about your favorite motifs and will guide you in crafting your own Doodle Cowl. The Doodle Cowl offers various themes, but for the class your choices are the Floral Doodle, the Holiday Doodle, or the Rhinebeck Doodle.

Saturday, September 7

• After having breakfast in your condo or in the restaurant at the hotel, join us in the Graz conference room at 9am for a Fall Yarn Tasting with Berroco and our rep, Linda McClelland. You will have your own tasting kit, and we will have sample yarns to help you choose colors. We will also have sample garments to give you inspiration.
  
• After lunch, we will have a fun activity.
  
• Now that we are fully overwhelmed with yarn and techniques, we will have dinner together at 6pm.
• Bring your favorite knitwear, or model one of Marci’s samples for an impromptu fashion show after dinner.
• We have the room until 10pm so feel free to work on a project or work with Linda, Deirdre or Marci to find the prefect project or get help with yours.

Sunday, September 8

• After having breakfast in your condo or in the restaurant, join us in the Graz conference room at 9am.
• If you are staying in the condos, check-out is at 10am but feel free to join us in the conference room after check-out.
• We will be working on our projects, ordering yarns, or just hanging out with your fellow fiber enthusiasts.
• We have the conference room until 6pm but we will have an early lunch so those of you who would like to head home early can do so.

Do I need to bring food?

We will be providing dinners on Friday and Saturday as well as lunches on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast is on your own. Each of the condos has a full kitchen so you can bring food from home or the restaurant at the hotel is nice. There is also a Starbucks on the property open for coffee, etc. in the morning.

What supplies will I need?

Your condos have all the amenities of a hotel room so for that bring what you would normally bring on vacation. They do have hair dryers.As far as knitting supplies, you will have a few items in your swag bags, and we will have a swift and winder available. Bring your Ravelry name with you in case you want to make one of the fabulous samples you see! A Piece of Ewe, as well as Keenan Hand  Dyed Yarns and Berroco, will have lots of yarns for purchase and some other yummy goodies, I’m sure!

Accommodations: Rooms are sold out!!! We have a WAITLIST option.

We have reserved 2 types of condos: 1 bedroom (King plus pullout, sleeps 3 people max) or 2 bedrooms (King, Queen, pullout, sleeps 4 max). Prices include lodging, swag bag, dinners Friday/Saturday, lunches Saturday/Sunday, and snacks.

We will fill these rooms as first come, first served. We will try to accommodate everyone as best we can.

Cancellation Policy:

You can cancel your registration until July 1^st, 2024. Any cancellations after this date can only be processed if we are able to fill your space with someone on the wait list. This includes late cancellations due to emergency or illness. In the unlikely event that A Piece of Ewe needs to cancel the retreat due to COVID or other unforeseen circumstances, your registration fee will be refunded in full.
